“Idols of the Sun” began as a private journal in bronze. Each small figure gives form to an inner condition: tension, balance, desire, wound, recovery.
These works are the generative core of Reisner’s practice. Their forms do not remain small. They travel outward—into architecture, landscape, memory and public life.

The void is part of the body.
The figure is built around an opening: a space that is both absence and presence.
Created in 2019 for a private site in Upstate New York, Outer Limits extends the intimate language of Idols of the Sun into a monumental encounter. The circular body frames the landscape, allowing the surroundings—and the viewer—to become part of the sculpture.
